How it works
Three plans, four roles and one path per game that ends in official data nobody copies twice.
The three plans
Basic is free. It includes teams and rosters, a schedule with venues and doubleheaders, line scores with runs, hits and errors, standings with games behind, home and away records, last 10 and streak, playoffs, rules, notices, lineups and previews without averages, team of the month, search and each player’s descriptive card. It does not include individual or advanced collective statistics.
Complete includes all the software: individual and collective batting, pitching and fielding statistics, leaders, each player’s history, player of the week and month, previews with averages, box scores and play-by-play scoring. The league chooses who scores each game.
Complete with scorer is the same, and RosterMetrix also finds and assigns each game’s scorer, subject to coverage. The software is charged per team and season; the scorer service is quoted separately, after talking with the league.
Who does what
The commissioner has the last word across the league: seasons, rules, divisions, venues, schedule, playoffs and permissions. They invite managers and scorers, can load or correct any game, and no game counts until they approve it.
Each manager runs their team from their own section: signings and releases, the roster and numbers, the logo and photos, the lineup, defense and starter, and after each game their team’s sheet, which they send to the commissioner. They do not edit other teams.
If the league assigns a scorer to a game, the scorer loads both teams’ sheet and sends it to the commissioner. On the Complete with scorer plan, RosterMetrix assigns them.
Visitors and players read results, standings, leaders and player cards. Nobody sends or changes official statistics on their own.
A game, start to finish
Schedule: the commissioner creates the game with its date, time and venue. A doubleheader is two games on the same day.
Prepare: each manager publishes the lineup with the batting order, positions, starter and bench. The preview shows both lineups and both defensive alignments.
Load: after the game, each manager loads their team’s sheet, or the assigned scorer loads both; on the scorer plan, RosterMetrix assigns them.
Record: the sheet holds runs by inning and the batting, pitching and fielding lines; the scorer can also score play by play while the game is on.
Validate: before sending, the app checks what each team can check alone, and on approval the commissioner sees whether the runs, batting hits against the opposing pitching and the outs add up between both. An error blocks publishing; a warning asks for confirmation.
Approve: the commissioner reviews what was sent, can send it back to be fixed, and on approval the game becomes revision 1 and everything updates at once: line score, standings, leaders, player cards, history and exports.
Correct: if something was wrong, the commissioner corrects the game with a note. Each correction is a numbered revision, and everything shown reflects the current one.
RosterMetrix scorer coverage
Finding a scorer depends on the city, the state and each league’s conditions: how many games, how long they last, how many venues and at what times. That is why it is not calculated automatically: it is quoted after a conversation.
Where we have no coverage yet, the league can use the Complete plan with its own scorer.
Signing up
A whole league or an independent team signs up instantly on the Basic plan, with a link sent by email. A team can sign up even if its league is not on RosterMetrix: it manages its players and games, and opponents are just names.
To move to a complete plan, write to us from Contact. RosterMetrix changes the plan.
History and imported data
Each player is one person on the platform even when they change team, number or league. Their history adds up only what was recorded on RosterMetrix, split by sport, and a team gets only what the player produced while on it.
Seasons imported from other records state their source and coverage. “Lifetime” does not claim to know an earlier career that was never recorded here.
Moving your league’s historical records costs nothing: we do it for you.
