It all started with a scorebook
I've played ball for as long as I can remember. My dad kept score in a spiral notebook, in pencil, and I'd sit next to him asking what everyone had hit. That notebook got lost in a move. Whole seasons went with it, seasons nobody else had kept.

Off the field I'm a machine learning engineer: I spend my days getting data to tell what happened. So at night, once the house was asleep, I built a prototype, a small app for my team. Nothing fancy: Sunday's box score and everyone's average. The first time a teammate saw his line, with his average, his home runs and his name, he went quiet for a while. Then he sent the screenshot to his daughter.
A month later another team's manager wrote to me. Then another. Then another. One Sunday the commissioner stopped me on the way out of the park and said, "Osmany, the whole league needs this." I didn't sleep that night.
But a whole league is something else: hundreds of players, the standings open on everyone's phone at once, and nothing ever lost. That isn't built alone and at night. So I reached out to 
Ernesto, who has spent ten years building software at scale. I showed him what I had, we put our heads together, and we got to work.

What you're probably wondering
How much does it cost?
There is one plan, with everything. It is charged per team: per season for an adult league and per year for a youth league, at the price of the country where the league plays. Pricing shows yours.
Can I try it before paying?
Yes. A new league plays its first two matchdays free, with everything, and a team its first two games. If it's worth it to you, you pay for the season, or the year for a youth league, before the third matchday; if not, you pay nothing. It's for the first season only.
How much work is loading a game?
Each manager loads only their own team, from a phone, and the app flags anything that does not add up before it is sent: runs by inning, hits against hits allowed, outs. If they would rather stay on paper, they take a photo of the sheet and in about a minute it is typed into the game, included free with no charge per photo. And you never start alone: we set up your league and bring in your past seasons.
Who can record a game’s statistics?
Each manager loads their own team’s sheet, or the scorer the league assigns loads both, in the app or by sending a photo of the sheet. Nothing counts until the commissioner approves it, except a sheet sent by photo that adds up in full, which publishes itself and the commissioner can correct later; and a player cannot send their own statistics.
Can I bring earlier seasons?
Yes, and moving them costs nothing: we bring the seasons and statistics your league already has onto the platform. They are marked as imported, with their source and coverage, so nobody mistakes them for games scored on RosterMetrix.
Does it work for softball?
Yes. Baseball and softball are set per season: seven innings, four outfielders, extra hitter and ERA over seven innings. The two sports’ statistics never mix.
