Who handles the data
RosterMetrix operates the platform. Each league decides which teams, players, images and games it publishes on it, and its commissioner is responsible for having the right to do so.
What data is stored
For accounts: the email and, if given, the name. For leagues and teams: names, logos, colors, venues and the contact details the league chooses to publish.
For players: public name, full name, date of birth, nationality, position, batting and throwing side, number, photo if there is consent, and their statistics for each game.
From the contact form: what the person writes. And the technical essentials: the session cookie and, if enabled, notice subscriptions.
What is shown publicly
A player’s public card shows their name, photo, number, position, batting and throwing sides, age, nationality, team and statistics. The date of birth is not shown: it is used to calculate age and to avoid confusing two players with the same name. The full name is not published either.
A player is the same person across the platform. Their statistics from other leagues appear in their history only when those leagues are public, and the demo league’s data never leaves it.
Email and passwordless access
To sign in we send a link and a code that expire in 15 minutes and work once. The session is kept in a cookie needed to keep you signed in: it renews while you use it, expires after 14 days without use and after 90 at most. We use no advertising or tracking cookies.
Photos
A player photo is stored only with confirmation of consent: the player’s own if an adult, a parent’s or guardian’s, or the league’s statement that it has it. Images are processed on upload and their metadata, such as location, is removed.
A removed photo stops being shown immediately and is deleted from our servers in the following days.
A league’s gallery keeps the photos its commissioner uploads, each with the league’s statement that it has permission to publish it. They are processed the same way, and a photo deleted from the gallery is removed at once.
Notices
Game notices by notification or email are optional. They are turned on and off from each league’s Notices page.
Who it is shared with
We use Resend to send emails, Cloudflare as the site’s delivery and protection network, and a server provider that hosts the database and its backups.
We do not sell data, show advertising, use third-party analytics or process payments.
How long it is kept
A league’s data is kept while the league uses the service. Expired sessions and used sign-in links are deleted periodically. Database backups are made daily.
Your rights
You can ask for access to your data, its correction or its deletion. For a player’s data, the quickest way is to ask their league’s commissioner; you can also write to us directly.
How to write to us
