What these terms cover

These terms govern the use of RosterMetrix, the statistics platform for amateur baseball and softball leagues and teams at rostermetrix.com, by those who create a league or team, those who take part in running it and those who visit its public pages.

Who provides the service

The service is provided by RosterMetrix. For anything related to these terms you can write to us from the Contact page.

The service and the plan

RosterMetrix has a single plan, with all the software, charged per team: per season for an adult league and per year for a youth league. The price depends on the country where the league plays and on its type, and is the one published under Pricing for that country. A league or team has the full plan from the moment it is created.

RosterMetrix does not provide scorers: each game’s statistics are loaded by the league’s participants, as set out below.

Accounts and access

Sign-in uses a link or code sent by email, with no password. Whoever has access to the mailbox has access to the account, so each person is responsible for protecting their email.

The commissioner of a league or team decides who else takes part: managers, scorers and other commissioners.

The league’s responsibilities

The commissioner is responsible for the league’s teams, rosters, schedules and permissions being correct, and for having the right to publish the data and images uploaded, including consent for player photos, especially of minors.

Each manager is responsible for their team, and each scorer for the games assigned to them.

Official statistics and corrections

A game’s statistics are loaded by the two teams’ managers, each their own, or by the scorer the league assigns to that game, and they count only once the commissioner approves them. Whoever loads a side may type it in or send photos of the sheet; in that case RosterMetrix transcribes it and hands it over in the name of whoever sent it, who answers for what the sheet says. Once published, only the commissioner can correct it, and each correction is recorded as a revision with its note.

RosterMetrix calculates totals, averages and standings from what is recorded, but does not guarantee the accuracy of data entered by leagues and their participants.

Payments and refunds

The plan is paid with a RosterMetrix invoice that states the season, or the year for a youth league, and the price per team for the league's country and type. The total is that price times the number of teams the league chooses when paying.

A league that starts on RosterMetrix on or after 10 October 2026 plays its first two matchdays free; an independent team, its first two games. Its first season, or its first year for a youth league, is paid after them, at the full price. If the league does not continue, it pays nothing. Later seasons have no free matchdays.

Payment is made by card or another method Stripe offers, and Stripe processes the charge. RosterMetrix never sees or stores card details.

Each invoice covers a single season, or a year for a youth league. If the league adds teams after paying, those teams are charged on a new invoice, at the same price per team and without proration.

The payment for the first season, made after the free matchdays, is not refundable. In later seasons, if the league cancels before the first game of the paid season, we refund the full amount; once that first game has been played, the payment is not refundable.

If a season is not paid before its first game, or the first season before its third matchday (for an independent team, its third game), RosterMetrix may suspend the league’s access until payment; the league keeps all of its data.

The Scorebook

The Scorebook is a separate RosterMetrix product for scoring single games on a phone, even without signal, and getting each game's Excel. It creates no public page and is not part of the plan for leagues and teams.

The first three games are free. A game counts the first time its Excel is downloaded or sent, and from then on its date and teams cannot change; deleting it does not give the free game back. If an email send fails, the game does not count.

After that, the Scorebook costs USD 10 a month, with every game and Excel you want. The subscription is charged through Stripe and renews by itself every month until it is cancelled from "Change the card or cancel"; once cancelled it stays active until the end of the paid month, which is not refunded.

Whoever scores is responsible for the data they type, for having the right to score the game and for who they send the Excel to. Games are kept on the phone and, with signal and a signed-in session, in their RosterMetrix account.

Data, images and exports

The league keeps its rights over the data and images it uploads, and authorises RosterMetrix to store them, show them on its public pages and generate exportable images with them, in order to provide the service.

The demo league is fictional: its teams, players, images and results are invented.

Acceptable use

It is not allowed to impersonate another person or league, publish data or images without the right to do so, try to access parts of the service that do not belong to one’s own account, or overload the service with automated requests.

Availability and backups

We do what is reasonable to keep the service available and keep daily backups of the database, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.

Suspension and closing

We may suspend access for anyone who breaches these terms. A league can ask to close and have its data deleted by writing to us from its commissioner’s account.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, the service is offered as is, and RosterMetrix is not liable for indirect damages arising from its use or from the data leagues record.

Changes to these terms

If we change these terms, we will publish the new version on this page with its date. Continuing to use the service after that change means accepting it.
