What these terms cover

These terms govern the use of RosterMetrix, the statistics platform for amateur baseball and softball leagues and teams at rostermetrix.com, by those who create a league or team, those who take part in running it and those who visit its public pages.

Who provides the service

The service is provided by RosterMetrix. For anything related to these terms you can write to us from the Contact page.

The service and the plans

The Basic plan is free. The Complete and Complete with scorer plans charge the software per team, per season, at the price published under Pricing, the same in every country. The RosterMetrix scorer service is quoted separately and is subject to coverage.

Every sign-up starts on the Basic plan. Only RosterMetrix changes a league’s plan, once the conditions are agreed.

Accounts and access

Sign-in uses a link or code sent by email, with no password. Whoever has access to the mailbox has access to the account, so each person is responsible for protecting their email.

Whoever registers a league or team becomes its commissioner and decides who else takes part: managers, scorers and other commissioners.

The league’s responsibilities

The commissioner is responsible for the league’s teams, rosters, schedules and permissions being correct, and for having the right to publish the data and images uploaded, including consent for player photos, especially of minors.

Each manager is responsible for their team, and each scorer for the games assigned to them.

Official statistics and corrections

A game’s statistics are loaded by the two teams’ managers, each their own, or by the scorer assigned to that game, and they count only once the commissioner approves them. Once published, only the commissioner can correct it, and each correction is recorded as a revision with its note.

RosterMetrix calculates totals, averages and standings from what is recorded, but does not guarantee the accuracy of data entered by leagues and their participants.

RosterMetrix scorers

On the Complete with scorer plan, RosterMetrix finds and assigns each game’s scorer where it has coverage, under the conditions agreed with the league before starting.

Payments

RosterMetrix does not process payments inside the platform or store card data. How and when a complete plan is paid is agreed directly with the league.

Data, images and exports

The league keeps its rights over the data and images it uploads, and authorises RosterMetrix to store them, show them on its public pages and generate exportable images with them, in order to provide the service.

The demo league is fictional: its teams, players, images and results are invented.

Acceptable use

It is not allowed to impersonate another person or league, publish data or images without the right to do so, try to access parts of the service that do not belong to one’s own account, or overload the service with automated requests.

Availability and backups

We do what is reasonable to keep the service available and keep daily backups of the database, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.

Suspension and closing

We may suspend access for anyone who breaches these terms. A league can ask to close and have its data deleted by writing to us from its commissioner’s account.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, the service is offered as is, and RosterMetrix is not liable for indirect damages arising from its use or from the data leagues record.

Changes to these terms

If we change these terms, we will publish the new version on this page with its date. Continuing to use the service after that change means accepting it.
